This was an upgrade from 5.0.1, but the only reason I upgraded was that 5.0.1 had an error when viewing as a list, although different from this one.

Have you used a version prior to 5.0.1? i.e. have you had a version that hasn't errored?

Could you try installing 4.0.2, to see if this problem is caused by the 5.x versions, or whether there is something more fundamental wrong?

The 4.0.2 version semes to work fine, (with the excpetion of the time zone), but I have yet to read the documentation on that.

If you like I can give you admin access(dnn admin user and password)  to my environment should you wish to experiment.
