Another option is to place the module in a content pane that is 100% width.  If the container for the module isn't allowing it to expand fully into the content pane it resides in, then you can edit the container to make certain it has a width set to the appropriate fixed width or 100% width.  Depends on how the skin designer designed the skin and container, so there is no specific code that will work for all, you'd have to examine the skins' and containers' html and css to find the best approach with this option.
