Hi,

I'm having a weird issue of longer build times for each code change. Even if the code change is of  a single line it takes appro 15-20 mins for building the solution. Especially the desktopmodules section takes much longer to build.

I have Visual Studio Professional 2008 version with Vista Business. Does this make any difference?

Thanks & Regards,

Sri

please make sure to compile only the solution for your module, there is no need to compile core frameworka nd all modules.

Hi,

How can we restrict the build on mudules since the modules are under DesktopModules which is in turn under the website project. The main issue is the DesktopModules folder under website project which is taking a substantial amount of time. Other core framework projects, even though was included in the build configuration is not taking time to build.

Is there any setting at the module levels in the web.config or am I missing something? Please suggest.

Thanks,

Sri

Hi Sri

You can create seperate web application for your module, only thing is you have to put this project under destopmodule folder of dnn framework and add reference of dotnetnuke.dll from website/bin folder. This will you to build module within a sec's.
