A client who current uses the store module v2.1 has asked the following:-

Can there be a option on the product pages to sort by make, price, etc? like amazon etc

Now on having a look around this forum it appears to be an option in the new beta release.

any idea if this is the case and when will this be released?

Is the beta release stable enough to put onto a live production installation?

Hi Phil,

The next version do not allow to sort products like Amazon. I will add this feature in a future version. The next version allow the Store admin to choose the sort column and direction in the Store Catalog settings page.

I do not have a date for the release. I was ready to submit the next version last month, but a new step about XHTML compliancy has been added to the release tracker. Then, I have a lot of changes to do on the Store module.

The beta is already used in production by some users, but you should valide it with your config before use it in production environement. No one have signaled any bugs in the beta for now.
