I would like to simplify my site urls in DNN ver 3.2

example: www.mysite.com/faq instead of the long urlstypical in DNN

I tried following the instructions on the page below but do not have the "add rule" link mentioned on the page.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Knowledge/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/TID/3764/cid/-1/Default.aspx

Other sources I have seen refer to writing xml-like code to accomplish this. Is there a way for a non-techie to do this without any coding (through the UI)?

Thanks,

isla

This probably isn’t the answer you want, but unless there is a very good reason not to upgrade, I would personally start with taking the time to upgrade to DNN 4.9X build. It might take some time to perform the upgrade and test your site, but the time invested in trying to get 3.2 do perform friendly urls the way you wish may be (much) longer than upgrading and then taking advantage of the built in friendly urls / url mapping features built right into the 4.9x version of the framework. It’s a little complex, but is very flexible.
