We have an application that reads a folder for a list of graphic files, and then loads them into a datalist object and binds them to a datagridview. All works fine in the development site on the local host but when the module is packaged and installed on a development test platform runnin on IIS7/Server 2008, the images will not display. We also have an order template page that shows a single graphic (a full size of the one listed previously on the data grid as a thumbnail). It will not load the graphic on IIS7 either...
The graphics are being loaded into an image control that is then placed in the datalist cell. The only thing we get once it is migrated to the IIS7 box is the small red x that is typically shown by a picture control when the picture cannot be loaded.
One additional piece of information: The ResolveURL function on the development workstation/Local Host unit resolves the path to the site folder + the correct path. The IIS7 installation returns the ResolveURL call as the image path only, it does not include the host folder of the site.
We have tried hard coding the application path to the graphic files, but without success. We have also tried to use a complete path on the host system, also to no avail.
The installation is running 4.09.00 DotNetNuke Install and is developed in VS 2008 and Framework 3.5.
What might we be doing wrong?
