Nope.  I don't know what version of SQL you're using.  Read the comments and change the two lines under the SQL version you're using, and comment out the other version section.

Or stop editing the web.config, the install wizard does all this for you.

Hi Jeff, I am using a Microsoft web server with a php 5 sql database with the normal phpmyadmin functions.

but i think instead, i would have to use a database that is assinged in the install screen of dotnetnuke?

Im sure you can only run dnn with microsoft sql server, asp.net and iis. hope it helps
