Hi Guys,

 

I need a simple thing. I have a custom module. In the settings page i have a textbox and a button. All i need is when i click the button i need to put the value in textbox into a user profile property i created.

 

How do i do this.

Hi Amith,

This is off of the top of my head, but I believe the following code is what you're looking for:

Dim user As DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserInfo = DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo()

user.Profile.SetProfileProperty("MyPropertyName", "MyValue")

DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser(user.PortalID, user)
