Hello,

I am redesigning our company Intranet using DNN. Our company has different locations in the US, Europe and Asia. Because of this certain company information pertains to one location and not the other. I am looking for a way to create pages and restrict thier viewing based on the users location. For example an HR policy for Europe cannot be view by those in the US or Asia and vice versa. Is there a way to restrict pages and menu items based on this information? Please let me know.

Thanks.

There are several approaches you could take.

You could create 3 DNN security roles such as US, Europe, and Asia and then assign US employees to the US role, European employees the Europte role, etc and then manage page view permissions via these roles.

Or, you could "further seperate" the 3 locations by running them as DNN child portals such as company.com/us, company.com/eu, etc.

There are advantages and disadvantes to either approach, depending on the overall goals of your site.

Let us know if you have further questions.

I almost for got to say I would like to do this without having the users log into the portal. I would like something to detect their location and adjust accordingly without a login if possible.
