Using VWD 2008 and downloaded the Starter Kit to install.  Double Click the DotNetNuke.vscontent and the VS Content Installer launches with all boxes checked, I click next through to finish the install and the compiled module fails, but everything else installs.  I'm guessing this happens b/c VWD c/n compile?  Second, when I go to create a new website in VWD the My Templates section does not display any DotNetNuke Web Template.  Why does it not show up, How can I get it to show up and Is there a work around?  I appreciate in advance any help you can provide.  Thank you.

I also do not have a template, and I did not have any errors installing the Starter Kit.

  • I followed the Installation Guide pdf.
  • When I selected the content to install DotNetNuke Project was not listed.
  • I had a Web Application Framework, which I am guessing is a substitute.
  • I notice that I did NOT get a waring about there being "No Signature Found" as it warns.

I used the DotNetNuke_04.09.00_StarterKit, and I have VWD 2008 Express.   I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can suggest!

I finally found a related post that answered this question for me.  Try changing the language to VB.  DotNetNuke is written in VB, and so there is no template for C#.
