Hello!

I need help on this problem: in a Godaddy hosting account my primary domain name is ixedu.com where I have some web pages (not DNN). In a folder named /plataforma I have I have installed DNN 04.06.02 with a Portal. I have also another domain name called www.colegioedison.edu.ar that's pointing to Godaddy's DNS and to that folder.

My problem is that when in the internet browser you enter www.colegioedison.edu.ar it changes to www.ixedu.com.ar/plataforma. I don't want that to happen. I would like to enter www.colegioedison.edu.ar and stay that way! I already added an alias with that name, but doesn't work.

Any ideas? Do I have to make some modification with A or CNAMES records in the DNS at colegioedison.edu.ar or ixedu.com?

Thanks in advance!
Pepe

If you recently added the new portal alias you most likely need to just restart your application pool, modify the web.config file, or go to the host settings/clear cache+restart application page.

The cache for DNN stores all the portal aliases, so you might need to get the cache cleared with one of the above steps.
