Anyone working on a piece to allow storage of encrypted Credit Card information for a customer so they don't have to re-enter information each time.

Currently we have no plans to store credit card information. Not to say we won't consider it in future versions. However this is a very sensitive subject, fraught with danger, especially in a situation where the source code is visible to the public.

Most, if not all the payment processors (authorize, verisign, etc.) store the numbers for you. You could store the transaction no#s.

WooTz, Could you talk a bit more about this? It seems a promising option as we wouldn't need to store the information and thus reduce security concerns... How would we process a new transaction using just the prior transaction number?

I don't think you can do another transaction based on an earlier transaction number.

The user would however have to enter his CC / Expiry date again. To me this is a perfect method as his info does not get stored in your portal. For the transaction though, the gateway provider will store the needed information.

In my suggestion I would never store that information in the store, the customer can easely enter just 16 digits without too much hassle, and I'm sure he would feel more comfortable.
