I've already noticed the "Shopping Cart contains same products after re-login as a different user" issue in the bug list...   But it seems like the real issue is that the shopping cart itself is global.  If I log as two different users simultainiously they seem to be using the same shopping cart.  If I add or subtract an item from one, it is also added or subtracted from the other.  This sounds like a show-stopper to me.  Anyone that expects simultainious transactions, beware.

Here is an idea.  Have DNN core make a temp page when a user logs in, and put the shopping cart on it somehow.

Jeff,

This is probably a cookie issue. We're you logged in as two users on the same pc? When you add something to the cart a cookie is created that contains the cart id. And it can carry over from session to session. We already know there is a problem with the cookie being cleaned up after checkout.

This braings up a good point, however, the cookie should be user specific. We'll add that as a bug fix. Thanks for pointing it out.

Oh silly me..  You're exactly right.  If I use Firefox and IE instead of 2 IEs, I don't have the problem.

Note to self:  It's probably not a good idea to use two IE browsers sharing the same cookies to work on the site.  I've been having some other strange issues where a user loses his security permissions while switching back and forth between admin and test users, and I bet that's cookie related also (hope so).

Sorry for the scare.  Keep up the good work.

Jeff

I've had a similar problem when working on the site using two IE browsers simultaneously.  Not a big deal really, just means I cant have two running at the same time.

Actually, I'm glad you did it. Because it did uncover a bug - the cart cookie needs to be user specific. This is one of the benefits of community testing and feedback. Someone will test your code in a way you never even thought of.
