Hello,

Just experimenting with the module and noticed that the CSS styles do not get picked up by the Firefox browser. - Upon closer inspection it appears to be caused by the @import method you have used in the template.css file. (If I recall correctly I think you are only supposed to used the @import method within a CSS file if it is placed in the first CSS stylesheet that a browser reads, unfortunately in DotNetNuke, this would be the default.css file)

If you copy all of the CSS from the various stylesheets into the template.css file Firefox displays with the CSS styling that you have specified.

Thanks,

Hi Lee,

This is a well know problem, discovered after the Store module was released. Your solution works, but the cause is the @media, not @import. Please read my directions in this post.

The css are not perfect, it's a first try. Previously, only the style at module level (skin.cs) was available. We (Sébastien the Web Designer and I) will improve it in the next version. Please read this post too for basic informations about the templating system and used tokens. If you plan to write a column in your magazine, please send me an email (glepigocher AT yahoo.fr).

Hello,

That works, but if you send the whole CSS of DNN to the W3C validator is doesn't like the @import statement - I think it is because it needs to be in the 1st CSS stylesheet that the browser reads.

- On another note, I have found a few errors in the CSS which can be really quick to fix. - If you use VWD express and open the css files, go to the view menu / error list it show all of the errors in the CSS code. - Most of them are a comma before the { } - which just needs deleting, or one was a just a semi-colon in between the { }.

Hope this helps, thanks,

Lee

Hi Lee,

I understand, but I do not have an other way. We choose to use import statement for increase "visibility" using many css files by "feature" (common, fonts, ...). You can workaround the validation with you first suggestion (copy all css code inside template.css).

Thank for the errors, this will be corrected in the next version.
