Washington State along with 22 other states are implementing "Destination Based Sales Tax" beginning on July 1st.  http://dor.wa.gov/Content/GetAFormOrPublication/PublicationBySubject/TaxTopics/MoreSST.aspx

Any plans to update the DNN webstore to support this, or does anyone know of a DNN compatible webstore that does support this?  I haven't looked at the tax table, but basically I think that tax will need to be based on the tax rate associated with the zip code where the item will be shipped (vs the selling location now).

Hi Craig,

Currently, there is no plan to implement a new tax provider. Hopefully, the Store module can be extended for this kind of feature. This require to write a new tax provider. Because I'm French I do not know how the US tax system works. Could you give me more details? May be we could work together on this provider.

I have to finish the next version first. But, if you are ready to participate, I think we could produce a new tax provider for July. Moreover, if 22 US States use this system, probably more than one user (you) need this enhancement.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

All of the details I have can be found in the link that I provided in my previous e-mail.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to work on any module development at the moment.

Gilles -

I'm in the same boat as Craig (same state in fact).  I have some time to work on this enhancement.  What do you need from me to get started?
