Hi Philip,

Currently the shipping provider use only the total weight. I agree, the IShippingProvider interface need enhancement. I will search the more simple soution for your case, but this take time and now I'm at my office. I will look tonight and post a solution tomorrow.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thanx Gilles, I tried lots of ways to get the postcode but the value was always "" so Im missing somehting in the way you giys have sorted out teh life cycle of the controls.  Apart from this glitch the module is really good and I love using C#.  I reckon if you could extend the IShippingProvider to include the postal zone to, postal zone from, weight and dimensions (Idont need this yet but it would be good to have for others) of the order the shipping system would rock as we could use any number of methods to calculate it.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Philip,

The store design has been created by previous teams, I work on the module only from one year. It's not the more simple module I have seen and sometimes it's hard to understand how it works. Because some parts are not finished. I start to search a solution and modified the interface like this:

public IShippingInfo CalculateShippingFee(int portalId, IAddressInfo billingAddress, IAddressInfo shippingAddress, ArrayList cartItems)

The idea was to transmit both addresses and an array containing the products. But this can't work because when the checkout control call the shipping provider, both adresses are empty (not already filled by the user). I need some days for implement an other solution. I hope having a working provider for the next monday.
