Hi, your chat module is really useful but I found a little bug on it

In fact, I use it on my DNN 4.7. I added it on DNN, added it on a page... and it crashed

At the first time, I thought that it was not compatible with DNN 4.7. But this not the real explanation.

The '\' on the Active Directory Account Name (Domain\samAccountName) provoque a crash. It says :
Error: 400 - There is an error on the XML document (1, 56).

I hope it will help you.

I get the exact same error message when my AD users access the Chat module (DNN install= 04.08.04).  The module still works for the AD users, but the message that normally appears when a user enters the chat is replaced with: Error: 400 - There is an error in XML document (1, 56).

After they send their 1st message, the username is displayed...see below.

Error: 400 - There is an error in XML document (1, 56).
UMCM\bstgeor1 says:
asdf

Users with standard logins are not affected by this (admin, host, etc.)

I don't know if this helps or not, but it fails with one AD account and works with another.  When I open chat while logged in with HSEN\26c756, I get the error Error: 400 - There is an error in XML document (1, 56).  While logged in with HSEN\ADM26c756, the chat window shows me my name with the backslash removed, i.e., [HSENADM26c756 Joined]
