I can easily edit or remove a top-level category via the edit pencil next to such a category in the Menu Module.  However, I cannot figure out how to edit (i.e. change the name) or delete a sub-category.  No edit pencil appears next to them regardless of where I click on the hierarchy.  Couldn't find an edit / delete option anywhere else.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Hi!

To edit a sub-category I use the Store Admin module. In this module, on the top right, click "Categories". You'll see all categories and sub-categories, and you can modify them using the "Edit" link.

Hope this helps!

You can edit subcategories here:

Go to store admin module, click categories (links at top right corner) and edit the category you want to.

Hi (again, again)

As DevEn explain it, you have to use the Store Admin module for edit all categories. This is a legacy from the Store 1.0.1, at this time the module can't have sub categories. In a future version, I will rewrite the Store Menu module.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
