A few problems I've noticed.

1. When deleting a category, I get an error (handled gracefully complete with error icon on the screen) about illegal object cast or something.

2. When I specify a different page for the "product list" when I click on a category, it never navigates to the separate page.  The master/child relation ship between category list page and product list only works when they exist on the same page.

3. Deleting an inventory item also produces the same error as #1.  Had to delete the records via direct database access.  Obviously this isn't an option for my non-technical clients.

4. Adding a review doesn't generate error, but the review added never appears in the "Reviews" section of the product details section.

Is there a mailing list where we can get notified of new releases?

I believe all these things have already been noted. As for a mailing list, I don't think there is one. But you could subscribe to these forums and watch for announcements of new releases.

One more question: I am considering deploying the Store for a client to use today.  He can live with the limited bugs and behaviour quirks for the short-term.

When is the next build scheduled to be out?

And more importantly, what is the upgrade process going to be like?  Can it seemlessly replace any necessary DLLs and ASPX files and leave the database untouched?  Or if DML changes are needed, will it still leave the orignal data intact?

We are hoping to get a new release out soon with some key bug fixes. However it is hard to say exactly how long that will be. My guess is 2-3 weeks, but please don't hold me to that. A roadmap has been posted at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/ModuleStore/StoreRoadmap/tabid/923/Default.aspx. We will try our best to leave the original data intact. However the current version is a "beta" so there are no guarantees.

By the way, after submitting a review, the store's administrator must formally approve the review from the Store Admin interface. This protects from mischievious review posters. We are looking at adding more configuration options for review in future releases.
