Some minor bugs

First I want to say what an awesome module it is!

I have seen a couple of bugs which i cant see reported anywhere.

When i uncheck the "show purchase link" it doesnt seem to have any effect as the "add to cart is always there" I have a customer who sells motorcyles and would like to use the store, but obviously doesnt need the checkout bit.
The ship to function gives me an error if i select "none" as the option (i sell software via download so no need to ship - for now the work around is to make them select one and ignore it).
The description for the category doesnt seem to show up anywhere? The message does but not the description. Plus there is the html bug where it shows the tags instead of applying them, but i know that has been raised before.

Also a couple of feature requests. First, is it possible to have sub categories? If i wanted to set up my own Amazon.com for example i would need sub categories (again i have customers who have retail stores and need subcategories and possibly sub sub categories.

Secondly could we have cross categories please? That is an item can show in more than one category.

Thirdly could we have a way of selecting the order of products in the "featured products"? Its a great feature but i want to use it as a "Special" too on say the home page where i only want 1 item (like product of the week). I can make it so it only shows one product, but it is the first one in the category, i cant change the order (say make the 5th one the product of the week). I also might want to push a product so want to put it at the top of the list of 10.

Thanks for the input. We will get the bugs on the list. You'll be happy to know we already have nested categories and cross categories on the list. We are also planning on adding support for virtual products (downloads). The ordering of featured products is a new request but I think it makes a lot of sense. Thanks again and keep the ideas coming.

Just one more quick request on the virtual products. Could we impletment a trial or demo feature too in the listing? So as well as an "add to cart" we could also have a try now link?

I am manually doing this for now in the description text but would be nice to have it in the feature, popular and summarys etc next to the other link.

I found another one.

Sorry if it seems like a lot of points but i am using this on a live site now so am probably going to be putting lots of these in. But it does mean that despite the fact there are some minor bugs and other features we would like, it is still by far the best option for us. I was halfway through setting up my own store and this is saving hours of work for me.

I can now add a new product and have it out there quicker than i can upload it to download.com!!!

Anyway - to the bug.
I added a catalog module to my home page to use as a featured product feature in a sidebar. All works well except when you click on the product title it does not take the user to the item in the store, despite the fact i gave the page name in the dropdown.

Also, as i cant hide the add to cart link on there when i click on that it adds to cart but the user doesnt see that. I would not normally have that on the homepage but it may be good to have the option for us to say whether it should take the user to their cart when they add to cart. For example in the store i wouldnt take them as i use the mini cart. But on another page (such as the homepage with the popular or featured items) i would not want a mini cart so would want to take them to the cart when they add.

PS. I have volunteered to help out with the News module and am waiting to hear from Nik if he is taking the lead, but if you need an extra hand on the store then i am only too willing to jump in too (as well as the news module). Let me know. You may be so far into it now another person at this stage may disrupt the routine so no worries then :)

Mark, do you mean by "try it now" a link to immediately download a product for free?
