Hi I'm setting up the 02.01.00 version of the store on a 4.07 DNN installation and really like how clean these modules look on the page.  I am running into a strange error.  Everything seems fine until a user who is not logged in hits the 'buy now' button.  He is prompted by the button "Please Register or Log in to checkout" upon clicking that button you wind up at the "User Login Screen" .  If I enter an existing user account here there is no problem at all and I properly redirect to the "Store Account" page with the 'Checkout' button.  However from the "User Login Screen if I click the "register" link to create a new user in order to checkout I get the following error:

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /Home/tabid/36/ctl/Register/returnurl/ /Default.aspx

Does anybody have any suggestions?  The help is sincerely appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris

Does the domain you are using look like http://domain.com/mystore ? This, for example, happens when you are running it on a localhost - because the localhost url looks like http://localhost/mysite - if a URL points to "/mypage.aspx" browser tries to open it as http://localhost/mypage.aspx which, of course, doesn't exist.

Just a thought...

Oh.....good advice, thanks you.  I am running in local environment before deployment....actually so my domain currently looks like http://192.128.128.99/Default.aspx ,   so when I hit the "Please registor or log in to checkout" button I land on a page like this http://192.138.138.99/StoreAccount/tabid/65/ctl/login/Default.aspx  and from here I click 'register' and the page that fails URL looks like this http://192.138.138.99/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Register/returnurl/%20/Default.aspx .  However if I click the register button in upper right near 'login' this page works but looks like this http://192.138.138.99/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Register/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fStoreAccount%2ftabid%2f65%2fctl%2flogin%2fDefault.aspx .  Is this the problem you mention and the localhost part I am just not seeing as that is just what the machine is doing?

Unfortunately, yor problem is different - the url that errors out is not constructed properly - note /%20/ part in it, for example - this will translate to / / - which is obviously going to create a problem.

So, Gilles to the rescue :) (I haven't looked at the code yet) sorry.

Hi,

I can't reproduce your problem. I follow exactly the same steps and after register I'm redirected to the account page!? My config is dnn 4.1.0, XP Pro, ISS 5, the web site is on http://localhost/DotNetNuke_2.

Did you modifiy something about the login page? Login as Host or Admin, then go to Admin > Site Settings. Expand the section Advanced Settings, Page Management. Verify if the Login Page is defined to <None Specified> (the default setting).

Gilles

Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
