Hi

I am sure this is obvious but I can't seem to figure out how to change the font style and size for the store menu. There are 2 css where the store menu shows up and I have tried everything but can't seem to get anything to change except the Parent category header and in active state it  reverts back to no style.

this is what the menu looks like with default style - I am trying to change the style to verdana 10px for the items and 12px for the Parent.

Parent Category
    category 1
    category 2
    category 3

Can anyone shed some light on this?  Thanks for the help!

1. font-styles.css

/* Module Store Menu */
/* Categories */
/* ========== */
.Store-CategoryMenu-Entity {
font-size:12px;
color:#686a6f;
}

.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A:link,
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A:active,
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A:visited,
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected { color:#0d69b2; text-decoration:none; }
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A.:hover { text-decoration:underline; }
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:link, .Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:active, .Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:visited, .Store-CategoryMenu-Item { color:#0d69b2; text-decoration:none; }
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:hover {text-decoration:underline; }

2. Common.css

/* Module Store Menu */
/* Categories */
/* ========== */
.Store-CategoryMenu-Entity { }
.Store-CategoryMenu-Header { }
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A:link,
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A:active,
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A:visited,
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected { }
.Store-CategoryMenu-ItemSelected A.:hover { }
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:link,
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:active,
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:visited,
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item { }
.Store-CategoryMenu-Item A.:hover { }
.Store-CategoryMenu-Footer { height:5px; }

Hi

I think you're are right about the font. I can change the color and it works, but not the font.

Hi,

Because I'm not "fluently" in CSS , I have transmitted the problem to the creator of the style sheets. Normaly he should answer in this forum.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi everyone, Hi Gilles,

This could be surely done by overruling font-family property using a "!important" clause or by looking at inheritance. You could also look for lready defined fonts with an * selector, and add a special rules (should be declared right after the first-one, and overrules all his properties ; specifying parent container CssClass.)

I'm in rush atm, i can't find and answer what exactly goes wrong yet. I will try to take a moment tonight (Approx. 02H00 GMT+1) to look at this. In the meantime, if you can send me an URL, I can figure what exactly goes wrong in site.

Cheers,

Sébastien

Sébastien and Gilles

Thanks for the quick response!!

Sébastien I read your response and my eyes glazed over and I passed out with a look just like this smiley   My book "CSS for Dummies" does not seem to cover the things that you mentioned.

I am setting up the store module locally right now so I don't have a url for you to look at but I will finish up some things and move it up to the web, if I can't figure it out.

Gilles - great job to you and the team!  The store module is coming right along -- I do a lot of work with catalook and aspdotnetstorefront and the dnn store is perfect fit for those that don't need enterprise capability -- thanks.
