Gurus,

I have successfully installed DNN 4.7 on Vista Home Premium, and I had been working on solving the problem I had been facing since past 4 days and I have not been able to figure out the solution for the same.

Everything goes fine and cool, except that I cannot build my website once I close the ie that pops after first build, following error keeps popping up:-

Error 1 Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls.AddressEdit'. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DotNetNuke\DesktopModules\Store\AddressEdit.ascx 3

Error appears to be happening in DesktopModules\Store\AddressEdit.ascx and following is the line:-

 @ Control Language="c#" AutoEventWireup="True" Codebehind="AddressEdit.ascx.cs" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls.AddressEdit" targetSchema=http://schemas.microsoft.com/intellisense/ie5

I searched all the forums, all the source code .zip's (especially Store one) and could not find the freeking file "AddrressEdit.ascx.cs"

Gurus - Any and every help is EXTREMELY HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

PLEASE GUIDE..

PS: I installed using all the default options, no ALTERATIONS AT ALL.

Hi Siddharth;

For "build" problems, I need more details.

  1. Why do you want build the web site?
  2. Which VS version do you use?
  3. Which Store version do you use?
  4. Wiich Store installation file have you used? (Store_02.01.00_Install.zip or Store_02.01.00_Source.zip)

After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Siddharth;

For "build" problems, I need more details.

  1. Why do you want build the web site? (Ans: How can I customize without building? I want to setup the store for my website the way I want not with default options)
  2. Which VS version do you use?  (Ans: Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition. I also have Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition on my laptop)
  3. Which Store version do you use?  (Ans: 2.01.00 - I guess thats the latest available for download)
  4. Wiich Store installation file have you used? (Store_02.01.00_Install.zip or Store_02.01.00_Source.zip)  [Ans: tried both, currently have Source package installed)

Please extend your genius helping hand.

Where can I find the detail or any documentation on store module - how to use, configure etc..

Thanks Much.

Hi,

First, you do not have to use source version if you need only change about templates and css. Like some other dnn modules, Store use a templating system based on tokens. Read this post for the token list.

If you want modify the source, please follow my advices in this post. As you can read inside, you must use VS Pro with SP1. Moreover, the solution file provided NEVER BUILD the web site! Because the solution use WAP model.

Will (Team Leader) work on a documentation for install and configuration. I do not know when it will be released. Currently, you can find basic informations inside the post about source and in this blog. post.
