I got about 12 errors related to this missing AddressEdit.ascx.cs file when I installed DNN 4.7.0.  Before this I was running 4.6.0 and it used to work.  Is anybody else having this problem?  I can't build my website.

this sounds like an issue of a 3rd party module, did you copy all customizations from previously used web.config file to new one?

The only thing I copied was the lines that relate to the <connectionStrings>.

I have the same issue and was careful to adjust my web.config. My exact configuration is this:

Install 4.7 in clean directory using StarterKit.  Startup to verify a good install. Move my modules and app_code directories and modify web.config. Attempt to publish (build) the site. Build fails in AddressEdit.ascx where it says "Could not load type DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls.AddressEdit. C:\DNN\DesktopModules\Store\AddressEdit.ascx 3 "

If you then use the Object Browser and look at  DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls there is no AddressEdit method in the assembly (dll).

Hi Rick,

Sorry but I can't reproduce this problem. Could you give me more detail about your config. Which VS do you use (Pro or Web Express)? Which version of Store have you installed (PA or source). Do you read my recent post about "how to build Store 02.01.00"?

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
