Hi Steve,

Ran into an issue with a fresh installation.

A critical error has occurred. Public member 'FileName' on type 'String' not found.

This happens when I don't select a file

Hello,

First I had an error during install. Then, I restored my database/file, and then, I re-downloaded the dev build.
NOW: it install correctly, it display correctly (on a DNN 4.5.5 prod website upgraded from various DNN, as well as on a DNN 4.7.0 fresh and a DNN 4.5.5 fresh)

Now, I am making intensive test with my admin to see:
- if old bugs have disappeared
- if new one are not present of course...
- (and if by chance, we now have the possibility to download without using dashboard and without redirecting to repository page)... I know, I am dreaming... It will be for the future release...

Hello Steve,

Well done, there is only one small bug to be fixed:

-- Fixed the issue where if you enabled direct download from the
dashboard, but did not have download enabled for All Users, the
   links would not show up
PARTIALLY OK
In fact, when you enable direct download (DOWNLOAD = true), it displays
correctly with IE, but it does not work anynore... It redirects to
the repository page, instead of downloading or visiting.
Take note: it works great with FIRE FOX....
Should be a minor fix.
-- Fixed issue where only the first category of files would be displayed
if you enabled 'All files'. Now, if you have 'All files' enabled
when the user first goes to the page, the 'All files' category
will display and all files will be displayed. Once the user selects
a category, a cookie is written to the user's machine and the
next time they come to the page, the last category they viewed
will be the default category that is displayed. Clicking on
categories will now always display the proper files, including
   selecting the 'All files' category.
OK
-- Fixed issue where un-approved items ( items awaiting moderation )
were being counted in the category counts. Now only approved items
   are counted. (SQL Script fix)
OK
-- Add a new tag [PAGER] for use in header and footer templates. The
new [PAGER] tag will render a dropdown list of 'pages' that the
user can use to navigate directly to a specific page in your
Repository. Suggested use, look at the current header.html file .. replace
the [CURRENTPAGE] tag with the new [PAGER] tag. The [PAGER] tag
will always automatically select and display the current page
regardless of how the user navigates to that page, either by
using the [PAGER] control, or next and previous buttons or
   an associated dashboard.
OK (and works well !!!)
No other bugs found so far, my admin are checking... If an Admin from "DV FX Team" says ok, you can be sure that it works well...
Excepted the small bug presented above.

Hi Steve,

I did manage to find something else interesting.

1) Place a Top Downloads Dashboard module onto a page other then your Repository

2) Click on a listing for the Top Downloads Dashboard

3) You'll notice that the Categories drop down in the Repository module is still defaulted to All Items

Also is the All items label for the TREEVIEW control localized?  I can't seem to find it in the dashboard file.

Thanks for your help Steve with all of this.  All of the sites that I'm working on request this module after the first time they see it.  When you're working with Files or Links this is really the Swiss Army Module.

Addendum...

You can test on my website, all dashboard are using the system which should normally download file without redirecting to the repository page (check for example the dashboard on the left on my home page - valid for both files and links).

Many people have tested it, and seems that it does not work:
- under IE6 alone
- under FireFox + IE6
- under IE7 alone

But it works with FireFox + IE7...
Weird...
Looks like if there is an interaction between FireFox and IE...
