What database do you use and what are the language setting for the db.

As I said in erlier post it works fine for me. No change in webconfig. eg UTF-8.

The language pack is not involved at all.

I have DNN installed at a webhost, running on a MsSQL 2005 database. However I am not sure about what language setting they have on the db. Seems a bit odd that this should affect something in a content management system like DNN when it comes to a title-field. But I will check that and see if it something the web hotel is willing and able to adjust...

Another question: when using swedish characters in the main menu items (page titles) and other pages for that matter it means that folders on the server will be named with Swedish characters - that is not really good is it for full compability?

I mean a adress like: http://www.domainname.com/Björkväv/tabid/89/Default.aspx

Or doesn´t that matter at all? (99% of the visitors will be Swedish in that case so)

To bee honest I dont understand why you have the problems with the titles.

It should have been problems with other text areas as well.

I looke through the code and there are no bug. Furtermore It works fine in all my installations.

It works fine with page titles like Björkväv too.

I have SQL 2005 english version but the collations are set to Finnish/Swedish So it should work.

And if the db is causing the problem, shouldn't the other content have been affected as well?

Olsmar what kind of db are you using?

It is strange. But the support for ÅÄÖ is not 100% in DNN it seems. Wether page titles or not work find probably depends on the webserver where it is running (if it supports files and folders which are named with other characters than A-Z, 0-9 etc).

The bug would not necessarily be in the language section but somewhere within the DNN core? It only affects the  Module titles, have not noticed disappearing characters within other text boxes. Annoying however.
