If you have to work with the code of the new version, you need to use Visual Studio Profesionnal with SP1. The solution is already converted to WAP by me! It's better and simple to use DNN 4.4.1 with sources too, your web site must be on the url http://localhost/DotNetNuke_2 because every projects inside the solution contains references to DNN.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

I'm using DNN 4.5 and i've just installed VS 2005 wed development team or so, but i'll look for VS professional.

Now the problem is that i have to give the admin some inventory features, like initial stock of products, remaining stock of product, so they could keep track of the quantities on the stock and the stock flow. My question is: do you think i can change the code of the wwstore to offer this features too or is too much of a hassel? I already found a way of doing it, on paper, but i dont know if your code let me doing it and how much flexibility do i have with it.

Merci bocoup,

Ioana.

Hi Ioana,

The solution can't work with VS Web Express, this free version can create only WSP projects. Don't forget to install VS Service Pack 1 too!

I will add some basic features for tracking stock in the next release. It's not too hard, but you must be confident with the code. The Store module is not a litlle one! The solution contains 21 C# projects and it took time for discover how it wok internaly. One more time, I think it will be more valuable for you to work on visible part. You have to create categories, products, adapt templates (if nedded) and css to you client design style and so on.

Gilles,

No, it's not a free edition, it's the Team edition, the latest one.

I will have to go into the code and add some inventory features, that's for sure. For the front-end is somebody else who deals with.

I'm sure it's not going to be easy but either i configure this or they buy a shopping cart and that's it.

Ioana.

Hi Ioana,

I understand, you must comply to requirements from your client, it's normal. You know where I am, I will guide you if nedded.
