Hi Ioana,

You'r welcome! It's cool to propose your help. If you speek and write Romanian, may be could you translate WWStore? It's a lot of work ~2-3 days, but it will help! Note that your work will be reused for Store, because they share the same resources files.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

I'm just trying to give something too, not only to take. That's how i understand the Open Source concept.

It doesn't matter how much it takes unless there is a deadline. I'm in a ****ty, busy period, working and going to interviews for a new job too, but if it's no rush i can work on it in the weekends, little by little.

It's the language package i should work with? Let me know where to start from.

Ioana.

PS: just for the record, most of romanian programmers are far more confortable with english than with romanian, regarding software. That's probably because we use english documentation most of the time. When i used the Microsoft World in romanian i was lost, i couldn't find anything:))). But this project is not just for programmers, so having a romanian language package will be useful.

Hi Ioana,

Oups, I forgot it sorry!

Here a copy of a step by steps for Dansk, you just have to replace Dansk by Romanian:

When a module is "well designed" it's realy easy to translate it. Loggin as host to your web site and install WWStore_02.01.01_Install.zip and WWStore_02.01.01_SkinObjects.zip like any other module (Host > Module Definitions, then clik on Install New Module at the bottom left). Both files are availables in the download section on www.dotnetnuke.fr.

When you install both files go to Host > Languages. On this screen, normaly you have two locales installed: English (United States) and Dansk (Danmark). If you don't have Dansk installed, select it in the Language combobox and click on Add. This do not translate dnn and the modules, but "tell" to dnn that you want to work with the selected locale.

Now, click on Language Editor at the bottom left. The Language Editor screen have two parts, a tree view on the left and the resources list of the selected resource file on the right. There is two kind of resources: Global and Local. Global resources are shared for dnn and modules. Local are specific to each module, to dnn controls and providers. In the right pane, start to select your language in the Available Locales combobox, then check Highlight Pending Translation. Now every resources are surrounded in red, this allow you to see what resources are NOT translated.

For translate WWStore, expand LocalResources > DesktopModules > WWStore and select the first resource file Account.ascx inside App_LocalRessource folder. The corresponding resources are displayed in the right part. Translate each one and click on Update. Repeat the same operation for every resources files inside WWStore folder and his sub folders. This is a lot of work, but it will be usefull for all Danish users!

When you have finish all the translation, return to Host > Languages and click on Create Language Pack on the bottom. Select Dansk (Danmark) for Ressource Locale, click on Module for Resource Pack Type. In the modules list, select: WWStore Account.02.01.01, WWStore Admin.02.01.01, WWStore Menu.02.01.01, WWStore Mini Cart.02.01.01 and WWStore StoreFront.02.01.01 (the five files MUST be selected). Entrer WWStore.02.01.01 for the Resource Pack Name and click on Create. Now dnn tell you where the resource file is, normaly inside yourdnnfolder\Portals\_default\, you can click on Download... to save the resource file to an other location on your disk. Please send me this file, I will add it to the download section. My email address is in my profile, click on ploum in the left column.

There is two graphic buttons to translate, you can find the template (ButtonsModel.psd) for create Danish version inside yourdnnfolder\DesktopModules\WWStore\Templates\Images. If you do not have PhotoShop or compatible graphic tool, send me the translation for: Buy Now! and Add To Cart. I will create the localized buttons for you and add it to the download section.

Many thanks!

Gilles
