Hi,

The Store email address is defined inside the Store Admin module. This address is used for the field "From", the field "To" is filed with the user email address. His email is defined in his dnn account when he register on the web site. When a user confirm his order, an email is sent to his address and to the store email address.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thank you for your response, Ploum.

So, i just have to set the Store email address inside the Store Admin module and i don't need to provide a password in order to login this email? I really wonder how DNN and WWStore 02.00.08 could login to this email without its password (to send an email)?

Do i need to config SMTP or something like that in my server or DNN?

Hi,

WWStore like all other modules use the SMTP settings from Host > Host Settings > Advanced Settings > SMTP Server Settings. You must define all settings in this section for being able to send an email from dnn. This is the place for the real smtp account. The store email setting is only used to fill the "From" field of the email object provided by dnn framework.
