 Hi,

I'm new to DNN. I am using admin store module, whenever i click on the Review link ,  the following error message is displayed.

A Critical Error message has occurred. Property accessor 'UserName' on object 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.Catalog.ReviewInfo' threw the following exception:'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'

If anyone could help with this would be great. Thanks

Cheers, Nitha

Hi Nitha,

This is a bug with Store 01.00.01! You have probably created a test user account and add a review with this user, then you have deleted this account. Because the review module try to link this account with the coresponding review records, you receive this error!

For correcting this problem, login to the web site as Host. Go to Host > SQL menu. Copy and paste the full line below in the text box:

delete from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Store_Reviews where UserID not in (select UserID from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Users)

Check the option "Run as Script" then click on Execute. That's all!

Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Wouldn't you recommend they use www.dotnetnuke.fr version or wait for 2.01 from DNN?

Hi vitkoz,

I do not have only one response. It's depends if you have a short dead line for your project. In this case my advice is: try WWStore 02.00.08. If you have time, wait for Store 02.01.00. I repeat from month that WWStore is the code base of Store. In other words, for 99.90% it's the same module. It's your choice!

I do my best for unify both projects and offer a working module for the community. From months too, I give ~1h/day for support in US and French forums. But I do not have any "offical" responsability in the US community. Here, I'm like all other people in the community, I do not control anything!

Hey, everybody knows that YOU are the man!

Anyway, I wouldn't touch the 1.something version with rubber gloves. Your WWStore version works out of the box. So, I would urge anyway who wants to try Store out to just forget about 1.whatever as a great attempt that didn't work out.
