This is NOT a bug! If no order has been placed, then you probably have at least one sub category or at least one product inside this category.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

i don't have any products or sub-cats in that cat now. off course i had some and maybe there are still some in the db from older installations (i don't have access at this moment to the db), but in fact store admin doesn't show ANY of them

Ok i installed the store now on a clean database and portal, created a category and placed a product in it. after i deleted the product out of the category i tried to delete the category. And surprise: it did NOT work.

It keeps saying there were dependent products or sub-categories! Well if the product isn't really deleted out of the database it makes sense, off course. But i doubt heavily this is it's purpose ! Delete should mean delete and not block other operations in the store module. So still no BUG ?

One more time it's normal! When you delete your product, this one is always "linked" to the category and remain in the database. You can't delete the category because the "deleted" product is in the category.

yeah i got that, but how do i get rid of it without having to mess with the database ? Archieving the categorie is no solution. It really seems that you don't care at all about this problem which apparently more people have
