Hey everyone! I am in need of some serious direction... I have DNN 4.5.3 and when a user logs in they are automatically taken to their own home page (thanks to a traffic director). While on their home page they have links at the top for Products and Cart. When the user clicks on the Product link they are taken to the categories and the catalog. The problem is when they click to add something to their basket they are taken back to their home page and the product does not add to their cart. Does anyone know what is going on here? Also, how do I make sure that I am notified of a sale? We have email setup where they can't use their credit card or paypal, but we have to call them to get payment. I am using the wwwStore Module instead of the regular store because the regular one had glitches in it.

If you would like to see my store for a better understanding go to: www.rugged-cctv.com/dealers and login using: user: allensp password: allen27

I appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

Hi,

It's probably because you don't set the correct tab for the setting "Shopping Cart Page" inside the WWStore Admin module. You have an other problem with the detail page, you have defined the wrong template, choose ProductDetail.htm or ProductDetailFulInfo.htm.

I am having what appears to be the same problem as ginaday84 except I'm not using a traffic director. Similar problems have been reported in other posts over many months and both versions of the Store module. I'm still a DNN beginner, but with this problem I've reached the point where I'm going to setup the source and start digging to see if I can resolve this problem. Before I do, I want to post some new observations on the behaviors that I have noticed and see if anybody can provide me with some guidance on where to look.

First, let me cover some of the actions I've taken and hopefully eliminate some concerns.

The problem I'm having is that whenever I do anything in the catalog that causes a page refresh, I get logged off. At first, I had the module permissions set for registered users and when I logged back in I couldn't see that any cart entries had been made; the cart was refreshed by the login. I changed the module permissions to all-users and was then able to see that the cart had been updated (since the catalog module was then still being displayed after I was logged off).

This problem does not occur when I'm logged on as host.

Now for some behavior observations I haven't seen in any of the other posts. On the page with the Category/Menu, Catalog and Mini-Cart modules, when I hovered over the module menu of each of the three modules to access the module settings, when the menus dropped down, the icons weren't displayed. All other images, including the module menu icons on other pages, were displayed.

I decided to delete the page and recreate it. As soon as I added the Catalog module, before I added the Category and Mini-cart modules, I started getting the log off problem. That possibly isolates the problem to the catalog module. Also, now when I hover over the module menu, the animated working icon appears; but now the menu never drops down. As before, I get logged off when I use the edit icon at the bottom of the module as it causes a page refresh (unless I'm logged on as host).

Any info and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for your detailled report, we will save times. You can try to install source version, but IMHO it's not a problem related to the module. Because the module menu is not driven by the Store module, but by dnn. For me, it's a problem about folders rights. I need some more details:

  1. What is your OS?
  2. What is your DNN version?
  3. Do you test on a local machine or on an hosted server?
  4. If it's a server:
    1. Do you have full access on it?
    2. Can you give me access to the machine?

You can send me informations to glepigocher AT yahoo.fr

Gilles has provided new DLL files that have resolved this problem on both my local test server and a hosted (GoDaddy) account. For further info on the new DLL files, use the following link to Gilles' post.
