I'm getting this when I browse to /install/install.aspx.  But this .dll is not included anywhere in the Source or Install downloads.  Anybody know how to get around this?  Do I have to find this fill somewhere and drop it in /bin?

have you given permissions to the folder to aspnet or NETWORK SERVICE to read/write/modify the folder?

Yes.  ASPNET has full control of the dnn folder and dnn is an app folder.

What I don't understand is that it's looking for a file that is not part of the SOURCE or INSTALL packages I downloaded.

Is System.Web.Extensions.Design part of VS or VWD?  I find references to it as part of AJAX 1.0.

Thanks for your help.  Hope you have some other ideas.  :)

Did you find a solution to this?

I have the same problem with a new 4.5.5 installation.

I don't know positively that I know the solution but I did get it working.  I was installing DNN in a child folder of root and there was a web.config file in the root and I believe that file was making the call, not the DNN web.config.

There were many other things I did but I think that was the one that solved the problem.  Perhaps somebody can confirm that this makes sense.

If you still have problems I can try to help since I was able to get through this one.  Just post more details and I'll see if I learned something that could help you.
