hi Giles,
i've modified the store.  everything is great.  now i need to further modify the store code to support digital distribution.  what might be the easiest way to do this?  ideas?

I want a customize modue for dnn store. in which i can add the Images in and description in The category.

and also all the subcategories i want to add more than one prizes,images and description.

this is what i need:

a member uploads their sellable music.
a visitor browses member store and purchases music. (1) how do i distribute music? how do i protect member music from being downloaded again from same
download location?
(2) how does member get paid? what's the payment process? ideally, i'd like my vistors to browse the store and select tracks from different artists and purchase and download compilation. this sounds like other problems.
(3) i'm currently in the process of creating a "Battle Module". this module allows members to challenge other members music and site members can vote
winner/loser over time. ideally, while uploading their Battle music, members could option to make this song sellable.
(4) when the store is up, ideally i'd like to embed the store in a flash or silverlight music mp3player so members can use the mp3player as a widget for
other sites.

do you plan on adding these features in the near future?

If you use WWStore 02.00.08, you have to modify code inside this parts:

About categories:

  • Project DotNetNuke.WWStore.Catalog:
    • CategoryController.cs
    • CategoryInfo.cs
    • DataProvider.cs
  • Project DotNetNuke.WWStore.Catalog.SqlDataProvider:
    • SqlDataProvider.cs
  • Project DotNetNuke.WWStore.WebControls
    • CategoryAdmin.ascx
    • CategoryEdit.ascx
    • CategoryMenu.ascx

You have to add the needed fields inside the table WWStore_Categories and adapt the stored procedures: WWStore_Categories_AddCategory, WWStore_Categories_CountAll, WWStore_Categories_DeleteAll, WWStore_Categories_DeleteCategory, WWStore_Categories_GetAll, WWStore_Categories_GetCategory and WWStore_Categories_UpdateCategory.

Concerning sub categories, there is NOT prices, images and description? Could you explain what you want to do exactly?
