Hi to all,

after installing the WWStore module (2.0.0.8) to my DNN (4.5.3) portal, i' ve noticed something odd.

All the un-checked-out items that have been added to the basket by one user can be viewed and modified by any other user. It seems like they are stored inside the database without connecting to a particular userID.

Under this conditions, when a user leaves the site, all the un-checked-out items in the basket will be visible to the next user that will enter the site. Moreover, if 2 or more users are online at the same time, the changes that one makes to the basket items, will affect (after refreshing the page) the all the other users' items (!!!).

Is this the case? If yes, isn't it something we would like to avoid? And how?

An idea would be to force the users to logon for adding items to the basket (in order to get their ID) and save/get the un-checked-out items by connecting to the userID.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

It's seems to be a real problem! I will verify that and make corrections if needed. Now, I'm in holydays, but I will do it before september.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi,

The French Team has done several tests yesterday and we can't reproduce your problem! We have used two computers and test on two differents stores.

Client 1: OS=Vista, Browser=IE7 - Client 2: OS=WS2K3, Browser=IE7

Both clients was NOT logged (anonymous access), but connected on the same store web site! The first computer "Client 1" add a product to his cart. Then on the SECOND computer, the "Client 2" refresh his browser. In this case, the cart of the second client is EMPTY!

Could you confirm you have used TWO differents computers for simulate users activity? If you have used two identical browsers on one computer, it's NORMAL because two instances of the same browser share the same viewstate!

Hi Gilles

Yes, you are correct.

I tried on instances of 2 ifferent browsers (IE and FireFox) on the same PC (for the moment i only have 1 PC) and it worked just like you describe.

So, there is no issue here.

thanx again for the great help
