My last post had nothing to do with the NETWORK SERVICE account. You already said you had set up permissions on that one. My problem was with the USERS account which also shows up in the root folder security properties tab. You make no mention on checking the permissions for the USERS account. The USERS account is a totally separate account from the NETWORK SERVICE account.

The Logged In User is from the Administrator group.

I also add explicit full permissions for this user on the virtual directory root folder.

But same behaviour is shown.

I also tried with the local Administrator of the machine but all in vain.

Well it seems to be a permissions problem - if you have the permissions set on the NETWORK SERVICE and USER accounts properly and still getting the error there isn't much more I can suggest except maybe starting over from scratch and redoing the steps one by one or trying the installation on a different server..

Sorry I couldn't help.

Good luck,

Mike

You're installing a DNN 3.x system?

Thank you for all the response that I got.

I have solved this problem.

Actually there was a user "Creater Owner" in the security tab. As I permitted this user to write on the folder I have a smooth installation of DNN.

After the successful installation I caught into this problem.

Kindly also contribute your ideas for solving this problem.
