One of the BIG problems with the old projects-lead was lack of information ......

Now I am beginning to see the same with the new lead.

Why is it so difficult to post a few lines giving the status .. lets say every 4 weeks ??

From a user point this project almost as dead now as it was 12 month ago!!!

What is going on???

Real Info please - not the ususal:

it is released when it is finished (everybody knows that)
We are working on it (hopefully)
We 1 or two problems .. but in 2 weeks time .... (give some info about the problems)

The qualifications, existing time constraints, and previous contributions to the community must be considered by the core team before hiring a new project lead.

First let me say, I have NO control over picking project leads. I am entirely "out of the loop". But, I just want to point out that those wanting to "give back to the community" do not have to wait for the Core and the very busy and hard working people to get to you.

Make a module and post the code. I have done this numerous times over the years. This is how I got on the Core. I simply went ahead and did the project. I still do it even though I am on the Core (IWeb). With IWEB, the Core would have to go though so much to make sure it did not cause more problems and more work for everyone that it is best to prove the module works first. For example with FotoVision, I realized that there were so many issues I never bothered to take it to the Core.

I guess I just want those who want to "help out" to realize that they can. Just go ahead with your project.

Sorry for the long delay.  Lots of work has been done on the Store and we are about ready to enter the release process.  I will post more official details tomorrow, but wanted to quickly say that progress has been made and we will have a good release soon.

Thanks,

Will
