Hello,

We are evaluating the store module right now. Would really appreciate if anybody could share his knowledge on these two questions.

1.      Plan to save customer order information in our SQL database, and retrieve them later and process the payment through stand beside payment system. Can we encrypt the credit card number and the three digit cvv code? If yes, is the encryption part of the store module dll?

2.      What algorithem does the encryption use? Our bank wants to know this answer before we start saving sensitive credit card information.

Thank you very much.

Credit Card information doesn't get stored at all.  It is immediately handed of to the payment processor and doesn't complete the order until payment has been completed.

We have separate payment terminal in place right now, and it is part of our cash register system. Our initial plan is to retrieve customer order and process the payment through our existing payment system. Whether we’ll use online integrated processor will depend on the online transaction volume.

If my understanding is correct, we will need to use another online payment processor in order to implement the store module. Is it right?

Thank you very much.

If you want to store the information and not process it right away via an online processor that is supported by the store module you will either need to modify the store to suit your needs, or build a new module.
