Perhaps someone can help me with this problem.   I'm sure I'm missing something in the code but what can it be?

In this first picture, you can see that my sample site looks nice and lined up when there is little in the containers:

But as soon as I put an image in say, the top pane, the width of everything falls out of wack - note that the image I inserted is not even close to 100% of the container width:


Has anyone else ever had this problem?   What do I have to check?

In case it helps, I took a screnshot of a bit of code...

Since both of your tables are set to 100% they will expand like you have shown.

You will have to fix them to a specific size if you do not want them to expand in that nature.
