Hi Dario.

Thanks for your response. I received your file and tried it out, without success. Nothing is appearing in the XML Module.

Here are my XML Module configuration (as per your previous recommendations):

XML Data Source Settings:

Link Type: URL

Location: https://localhost/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/86/rssid/2/default.aspx

Querystring Parameters: none
Querystring URL Encoding: UTF-8
Security Options: none

XSL Transformation Settings:

Link Type: File
File Location: Root
File Name: blog.xsl (your file)

XSL Parameters: none

Advanced Options:

Output: inside module
Content Type: *.xml (text/xml)
Allow Indexing: never

Querystring param: none
Querystring value: none

The Link Locations was copied and pasted directly from the browser address line (Firefox 3), where the Blog RSS Feed was displaying correctly. Any ideas?

Mark

Hi Mark,

it looks to strange, the same settings work perfectly on my production sites. Now, not being a XML module expert, I would suggest:

  1. Check if the XML data is correctly generated and available to the requested URL. You can use your web browser or Fiddler.
  2. Ask the XML module support forum if your install requires particular settings in order to display the XML data in the module.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Thanks Dario.

Strangely, if I save the Blog Module RSS feed to an xml file and upload it through the XML module, along with an xsl stylesheet, as well as supply my username and password, I am able to see the feed perfectly. But using the live URL of the RSS Feed does not display the feed in the XML module, even when credentials are supplied; the module is blank.

I have already posted in the NewsFeeds module regarding this problem but received only a vague answer thus far. I will try to post in the xml module and see if I get a better response. I'll post back if I find a resolution to this problem.

Thanks for all your help.

Mark
