Hi - the new blog release is awesome - and the WLW support really makes it sing.

Here's my question.  I'm planning on implementing a blog for my company that should be accesses only by authroized users.  Our intranet site is not DNN, so i can't host it there.  I'm sure there are several ways to restrict access, but any comments on the pluses and minuses and/or best approach?

Thank you.

Hi Mkroberts,

I think the best way to do this is relying on the built in dnn security. You can create different secutiry roles, and assign each user to one of these, like:

  1. Readers - Everyone who has access to read the contents.
  2. Editors - Everyone who has access to editing comments.

You should set the page's visibility setting for both the roles, and hide it for other users. Then you can enable editing permissions to the module controls only to editors. Let me know if you need a more detailed walkthough to do this.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
