The message text box users type their message into is collapsed and only one row high, even if I change it to any number in the settings. I notice this only happens on customs skins, and works normally on core DNN skins. Is this a CSS problem or something with the skin html? Has anyone run into this problem and have a fix? It's driving me crazy!

I get the boxes in the feedback module only wide enough for six characters.  I can't find a way to make them any wider.  Even the subject drop down list was narrow, but when I created choices for the subject drop down that box became wide enough to read the entry.

I'm also confused on what value to enter when I create items in the subject list.  If I call an item Contact Joe Schmo, what do I put for the value?  Do I put joe@yadda.com or do I put mailto:joe@yadda.com.  I tried both and no email is received from the form.  Clicking on the help bubble for value field says "Value for this list item".  Duhhhhh. The help information is just about useless.

I submit a message and it says it was sent and the Feedback Comments shows the message; however, no email is received with either of the two values.  My address is set in the Site Settings correctly.  Also, can I not have messages from feedback sent to more than one person?  In the Site Settings there is only a drop down menu showing either myself or the other admin person.

I also tried creating categories and no drop down box was created.  And, there appears to be no help for the value window here either.

Is everyone running into these kinds of issues?  I was just introduced to dotnetnuke and I'm banging my head agains the wall.  Online help is also sadly lacking.  I see an add for a PDF help manual of 680 pages for $30.  Has anyone downloaded this and is it really useful?  My first experience with dotnetnuke has not been fun.   Pardon me while I go outside and do a primal scream.   I will greatly appreciate any info on resolving these issues.  Thanks... Hal - first off, my apologies for the "hiccups" you seem to be experiencing while using DNN. It is usually not this painful and usually with some help from the forums here, a lot of people are able to do how to do stuff with DNN...

With regards to your post above, you said you are creating a subject list - however you are asking about putting email addresses in the newly created list. The subject field is used for what subject line shows up in the email generated as a result of submitting a feedback post. Not sure what you're trying to do but the ability to set up email addresses in any of the lists is not an option till 4.4.2 which has not been released yet.

I would also like to verify which version of Feedback you're using. Based on your later comment of site settings showing only drop down menu of myself or other admin, I'm not even sure whether you're using 4.4.1 (latest available release of feedback) or some older version.

Before you spend $30 on some manual, I would highly recommend using the forums here on dotnetnuke.com and try and get some of your questions answered. Like I said before, most of your questions can be answered via the forums here and this would certainly save you the $30 you are planning on spending on purchasing a manual.

Hi Heath,

    Did you get an answer to your problem already?

I had exactly the same problem today, and tracked it down to the CSS file. It was a class called ".INPUT, TEXTAREA "
I removed the entry from the CSS and now all is well.
