I've got a calendar that will have quite a few recurring events.  Too many in fact... So I'm going to put them in categories so users can view only a few at a time.  BUT... how do I get the month view to not default to showing "All" in the category dropdown?  Not seeing this in module settings.

Seems like it would be useful.  If it can't be done, consider it a feature request.  :)

This is an often asked for feature and is very likely to be added in version 5.1.x, which is unfortunately a few months away.

Cheers
Roger

OK, thanks for the info Roger.  I ended up just diving into the code and adding it myself.  Pretty easy once I really understood what was going on.  You can just set the SelectCategory.SelectedCategory property of that control to some string (even before the categories are bound) and it will work correctly.  Just do it before the calendar data binding happens.
