The link in my post above is perfectly working for me. Also the link http://digitborn.co.cc/DotNetNuke/ is working, you can get to 3rd Menu from right to left called "ПРОГРАМА" in order to get Events module.

I'm 99% sure that the error comes from the problem that in Bulgarian language it convers the date to dd.m.yyyy and not to dd.mm.yyyy. The missing "m" sign is the problem. I tested German language pack. In German language the format of the date is the same like Buglarian language but it's dd.mm.yyyy and there's no any problem. How to fix this? Is the updated verstion of the Events module fixes the error?

I have installed Events 05.00.02 Release Candidate 1 but the same error happens :

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Conversion from string "01.6.2009 г." to type 'Date' is not valid. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string "01.6.2009 г." to type 'Date' is not valid. at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToDate(String Value) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventBase.get_SelectedDate() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventWeek.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Please help.

Hi Dimitar,

I've looked into this, and whilst the logic is right, VB seems to be struggling to convert from a string type date to a date type using CType when retrieved from a cookie. I suspect this may be to do with the file type of cookies, I'm not 100% sure.

In any case I am changing the format that dates are stored in the cookie to en-US (previously they were stored in the users culture alongside the culture information). Not something I like, being from the UK, but in the end the date needs to be in a known format, so we can do a known conversion back to a date type attribute.

I've posted the bug report here - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=10531&PROJID=11

Cheers
Roger

Hi,

That's good, we've made some progress. I saw you had posted the bug here: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=10531&PROJID=11

Can you tell me what does it mean:

Status Checked-In

Resolved 8/5/2009
Resolution Complete

Is the problem solved temporary, or it will be solved on version 5.00.03?

What you mean by:

In any case I am changing the format that dates are stored in the cookie to en-US (previously they were stored in the users culture alongside the culture information).

What can I do to solve the problem at the moment?
