Hi there

I would like to extend the Map Module on my own.
What would you suggest is best practice for setting up my dev-environment, to do so. I have found Michael Washington's help for building a new module, but I am a bit unsure of how to do, when extending a module.
Is there/are there tutorials for setting up VS 2005 to extend one of the forge modules?

Thanks for the help in advance,
Martin

I think Michael Washington is a great resource in this area, and does an excellent job at the tutorial for walking developers through creating a module from scratch. In this particular case, however, it should be relatively simple. Grab the Source version of the module. Then install it as you would any other module. Once installed, you can simply open the Solution file (.sln) that is now installed in the module's directory. The project is already configured as a VS 2005 project, so it is relatively easy to get moving forward from there.
