Hi,

I have been testing out the latest store module version and am very impressed with its versatility. Especially with the templating scheme that it uses.

A few operational questions if you don't mind:

  1. Is there any method to include a "Company Name" field in the customer details?
  2. Is there any way to control which fields are required for the customer detail entry? I ask because, in our use, the "night time phone" isn't required.
  3. It would also be great to have a "Notes" field for an order so that additional (unanticipated) information / instructions could be included with the order.

A functionality question:

1. When I recieve a confirmation email from the store module the [DETAILS][/DETAILS] tokens are embedded in the message following the "order details" (BTW - this is using the standard store installation files):

APM201000101 - Color Brochure x 10 @ [DETAILS]
x @
[/DETAILS].00

Thanks in advance for any information you can offer!

Jim

Hi Jim,

Currently, you can't add or remove a field in the customer detail form, but I will add this feature in a future version.

Concerning your second question, i't probably because you have edited the email template and added twice the [DETAIL][/DETAIL] token.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles,

Thanks for the followup. As per my first message the extra [DETAIL][/DETAIL] is showing in the email up using the standard store installation files -- I haven't edited them.

But, I will see if I can find the email template and see what is causing it.

Thanks again.

Jim

Hi Jim,

It's strange, I have never seen this before! Could you tell me if it was an upgrade or a fresh install of the Store module?

Please extract the Store install package to a folder and open the file emailPayment.ascx.resx with notepad or any other text editor, then search for the string "CustomerOrderEmailBody.Text". Compare the email body text between the value tags with the one you have in the DNN Language Editor.

Hi Gillis,

It is a fresh install on DNN 5.6.2.

I compared the file sections and they are the same in both the original version and the on the website installation except for the following:

Web version: Shipping & Handling: [Order:ShippingCost]
Org version: Shipping & Handling: [Order:ShippingCost]

Which I wouldn't think makes any difference.

The section that contains the [DETAILS] Tag is the same in both::

[DETAILS]
[OrderDetail:ProductTitle] x [OrderDetail:Quantity] @ [OrderDetail:ExtendedAmount]
[/DETAILS]

So, it appears that based on the template alone it should be working?

Jim
