Hi… I could use some help.

I have installed DNN’s Store and everything now works but... if I am signed in as the Administrator and in the Store Account, the “Checkout” button displays and I can finish the purchase via PayPal. However, if anyone else tries to buy a product(s), or if I try when logged out, the button says “Please register or log in to check out” followed by “You must be registered in order to be able to continue your order. Please login if you have already an account.”

Could you please give me a suggestion as to how to get around this and simply let the poor buyer have a “Checkout” button show up?

Thanks in advance.

John

Hi John,

First, I'm sorry for the delay but I was really busy with my work!

If you use the last Store module 03.00.00, you can choose between three modes for the checkout process. Go to the page where you have place the Store Admin module. The setting 'Checkout Mode' allow you to choose:
  • Registration Required: In this case a buer have to create an account before being able to checkout. This is required if you want to sell digital products.
  • User Choice: In this case a buyer can create an account to store his personal information (home address, office address, ...) for the next time and to be able to trace the status of his order (Awaiting Payment, Paid, Processing, ...). If your buyers don't need an account they can continue to checkout without to have to create one.
  • Always Anonymous: In this case a buyer can't create an account, the checkout screen is displayed directly.

With both last choices, you have to select an 'Anonymous' user account for the setting 'Impersonated Account'. This account is used to link 'Anonymous' orders to allow you to retreive them in the Store Admin Orders Management.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
