I have been using SDN store for several years on our site, and I would like to change to a more simple store. One thing we need is attributes (like size and color) for the products. When we first built our site, the DNN store module did not support this feature. Has this been addressed yet? Should I spend any time on the DNN store module, or keep using our third party software that none of us understand? Unfortunately for us, my wife was the one who built the store, and she has passed away. We have had a difficult time updating our products.

No, Store does not currently have attributes / options. This is something that should definitely be added in a future version, but the next step will be to freeze the current generation of Store and rewrite it with an architecture that will permit to integrate the new features and UI of the DNN 6+ generation.

We think that this refactoring must be done before any substantial database changes that will be required for attributes and options.

So I would not expect any progress on this in the short term. You should consider alternate store modules.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately without attributes, the store module is probably not that useful to a lot of users. It was something that was a huge topic of discussion 3 years ago, and is still important. I guess I will try to figure out the store we have now, it is just massively complicated and unwieldy, written in another language, not exactly user friendly, but it does have attributes.
