Hello

Please could somebody help me.  I am trying to find a thread or documentation on how to import/export products.

Could somebody please assist me or point me in the right direction?

I am also having a problem with the templates.  I have removed some tokens from the templates stored in the DesktopModules/Store/Templates folder but the changes do not seem to take effect.  Has anybody had this problem before?

Many thanks

XX

Tanya, do you know that Gilles has written a comprehensive Templating guide ? Have you read it ? dnnstore.codeplex.com

For import / export, if you are talking of import and export beetween DNN website, it is the standard procedure, but it requires Store modules of the same version on both side.

If you mean communication between a DNN website and another application, then just have a look at the XML structure of the import files and just try to reproduce programmatically.

Hi Tanya,
the art of import/export you need (from excel to sql) is not covered by store module. You need to play with sql scripts or look for some database synchronization tools.

About your template problem: do you have checked “Portal Templates” checkbox on Store Admin page? If yes then your templates are stored in folder /Portals/<your portal>/Store/Templates/…

I seem to be expressing myself wrong :( Import: I have a lot of data (PRODUCTS) that I would like to import into the store. How would I start? Is there perhaps a starting table you could point me to? Thank you
