Hi,

I’m new to DNN and would be very grateful for some advice on shopping cart modules/plugins. In particular, will the standard Store module serve my needs or do I need something else?

I wish to use DNN to build an ecommerce site for video downloads. These are the features I am seeking from a shopping cart module:

– Readily customisable

– Suitable for downloadable products

– Provides customer with download link upon purchase (rather than a token system)

– Handles EU VAT verification

– Plugs into DNN

– Will integrate with a suitable affiliate management module

Ideally, it will also be set up to work with the Barclaycard ePDQ payment gateway. However, this is not essential just so long as it supports additional payment methods for which bespoke coding can be written to make it work with ePDQ.

I know there are plenty of modules listed at Snowcovered but searches for ‘Barclaycard’ and ‘ePDQ’ return zero results.

If I’m posting in the wrong place then I apologise and would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Many thanks

I'd suggest reading this post and all ~250 comments, AFAIK it is the most substantial discussion on E-Commerce on DNN.

Store does not provide downloading capabilities. And the payment provider model needs to be refactored to really deserve the name  'provider'.

the positive is that it is very customisable in terms of design.

Thank you all for your advice - I've spent the day reading up and evaluating, and am now far more informed than when I originally posted this morning.
